A day in the valley, told in scroll.
The brief
Our own site had one job: be the best argument for hiring us. No stock photos, no template, nothing a visitor has seen before.
The idea
One day passing over a cherry valley. You arrive in the morning, the studio speaks at noon, our crafts appear at dusk, our work glows at night, and the valley returns at dawn behind the contact form. The page colour follows the time of day as you scroll.
Craft details
- Colour that moves with you. Each section sets the colour of the sky, and the page blends between them as you scroll, so there is never a hard cut.
- Petals with a job. Two layers of petals drift with your scroll speed, part around your cursor and burst where you click. They stop when the tab is in the background.
- Pinned stages. The four crafts ride sideways on a pinned track while their line drawings draw themselves.
- Two languages, one build. English and Chinese ship together, on every page. The Chinese headlines reveal character by character.
- Everything self-hosted. Fonts and animation code load from our own domain, so the site behaves the same in London and in Shenzhen.
Built to stay fast
If you prefer reduced motion, the site drops the loader, petals, smooth scroll and pinned sections, and shows each section in its own colours. In a mobile test (Lighthouse, 2 November 2026) the homepage weighs 360 KB in all and scores 97 for accessibility.
What it says about working with us
This is where we start from. Motion here has to earn its place: every animation means something, and the page still works without it.
