The whole page in one scroll.

The question

You can’t hear a website. So how does a page sell a speaker whose whole point is sound?

The idea

Make the scroll the volume. In one pinned section, scrolling turns the Beosound A9 up: its seven drivers join one by one, the watt counter climbs to the published 1,500 W, and a circular waveform grows with every driver that joins.

Craft details

Turn it up

Each step is a real driver from the spec sheet: two ¾″ tweeters at 150 W, two 3″ mid-range and two 1½″ full-range drivers at 200 W, and one 8″ woofer at 400 W. The counter only ever shows sums of those numbers.

All seven drivers. 1,500 W, and the frequency band filled out to 33 Hz and 23,000 Hz.

A range drawn from its own numbers

Instead of product photos, each speaker gets an abstract mark shaped by its driver count and amplifier power.

No product photos. Each mark is drawn from published specs.

Craft in aluminium grey

For materials the page turns from graphite to aluminium, with a disc pierced by exactly 2,173 holes: the number milled into Beosound A1.

One warm light

Graphite, aluminium and a single warm accent. Quiet enough that the volume section can be the loud part.

On a phone

On a phone the volume section stacks: the disc and waveform lead, and the driver list follows the scroll.

Every fact, checked

Every number comes from bang-olufsen.com, read in November 2026: the Beosound A9’s drivers and amplifiers, its 33–23,000 Hz range and 100 dB, the 2,173 holes in Beosound A1, and the prices in the range. Nothing is invented, and the one designer quote is word for word from their product page. The footage is licensed stock, labelled on the page.

What it means for your product

If your product is about something a screen can’t show, like sound, light or feel, the page can still make it felt. We build the one interaction that does it, from your real specs. Websites →
